This is the end of the journey

Last night was the public hearing for the controversial Vintage project behind this petition. The outcome of the public hearing is not what we had hoped for as we lost 5 Yea, 3 Nay. Two of the newly elected councilors stuck to their campaign promise to approve project in more responsible manner, unfortunately mayor Dyas didn’t and it made all the difference. Going forward with these four towers on top of a massive podium (the largest residential complex to date in Kelowna) is terrible for the city, the environment and for the people.

Thank you everybody for your support over the past 18 months.

Life goes on but it will be very different in the years to come as those towers are built. This unique neighbourhood will be forever disfigured.
