The residents of the neighborhood of Brocklehurst within the city of Kamloops and Brocklehurst Park users (2470 Fleetwood ave, Kamloops, BC) would draw the attention of the City of Kamloops and the Province of British Columbia to the following:

we do not support the closure of the Brocklehurst pool. It is a cornerstone in our community. It is where our neighborhood children learn to swim, spend their summers and we meet our neighbors. We feel that the loss of this pool will lead to Brocklehurst community disengagement and a rise in crime in summer months due to a lack of recreational opportunities within the heart of the Brocklehurst neighborhood. The pool receives high usage in it's city approved public operational hours.

Therefore, your petitioners request:
Brocklehurst be able to keep it’s fully functional outdoor pool open and continue to maintain the pool for future generations. As it operates only within the summer months, making it relatively cheap to operate on the Kamloops tax purse.
