AN UPDATE: Get ready for a public hearing soon!

Your continued support for this cause has been overwhelming! We have had nearly 2,500 concerned citizens add their names to this petition. The Fairview Board of Commissioners is fully aware of this too.

Last night (Thursday, March 4), the Board of Commissioners voted to pass the rezoning request on the first reading. While that is disappointing, we can still prevail! The next important event is a public hearing prior to the second reading of the rezoning request. That means our voices can be heard by the Board of Commissioners in person before the final vote. That public hearing date has not been set yet but we'll let you know when it is.

We hope everyone can join us at this hearing and speak out about our concerns with rezoning this property and the terrible impact it will have on Bowie Nature Park. The more of us that show up and speak...the louder our voices will be!
