We have skyrocketed past 2,000 signatures. Thanks for your support and for sharing this important issue with friends, neighbors and fellow citizens who want to see Bowie Nature Park be preserved from potential catastrophic flooding and pollution.
Our voices are being heard and we are having an impact! The 1st reading of the rezoning request was tabled at the last Board of Commissioners meeting. The developer has revised their master plan in no small part because of the support of everyone who signed the petition.
We aren't done yet! The rezoning request has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18th at 7pm. The Board of Commissioners has agreed to hold a workshop right before the meeting at 5pm.
Let's get to 5,000 signatures by then! We can ensure any development that borders the park is done with care and consideration. We can ensure that our children and grandchildren and their grandchildren have a park to cherish and enjoy like we have for the last 20 years.
