The citizens of the City of Elgin, Illinois would like to change the Municipal Code 19.45.065 to remove trailers RVs, campers, camping trailers, pop ups, trailers and trailer coaches from the category of "commercial" for a new parking or storage of recreational vehicles and trailers in a residential neighborhood.

This new provision would allow parking of said vehicles on residential property. Must meet size requirements (i.e. not blocking sidewalks, etc.) and the time period imposed for vehicles on the residential private property to allow access only during the season of that vehicle is used. (i.e. snowmobiles only during the winter season, etc.) These changes bring the code to be more comparable to neighboring cities, towns and villages.

The city may also impose a parking permit program for recreational vehicles would include only those said vehicles and it would generate funds for the community.

Los ciudadanos de la ciudad de Elgin, Illinois les gustaría cambiar el Código Municipal 19.45.065 para eliminar remolques RVs, caravanas, remolques de camping, pop ups, remolques y autobuses de remolque de la categoría de "comercial" para un nuevo estacionamiento o almacenamiento de vehículos y remolques recreativas disponibles en un barrio residencial. Esta nueva disposición permitiría estacionamiento de dichos vehículos en la propiedad residencial. Debe cumplir con los requisitos de tamaño (es decir, las aceras no bloqueo, etc.) y el período de tiempo impuesto para los vehículos en la propiedad privada residencial para permitir el acceso sólo durante la temporada de ese vehículo se utiliza. (Es decir, vehículos para la nieve sólo durante la temporada de invierno, etc.) Estos cambios traen el código para ser más comparable a vecinas ciudades, pueblos y aldeas. La ciudad también puede imponer un programa de permisos de estacionamiento para vehículos recreativos incluirán sólo los vehículos que generan fondos para la comunidad.
