Got my response from Chief Ron Olson of the DNR. Addresses none of the concerns about conducting an Environmental Impact Study on the effects of the Grand Prix on Belle Isle - just quotes financial studies on how the region benefits financially from the race and how survey respondents are generally "positive" about the race. You would think Ron Olson worked for the Penske PR firm instead of his real job, as chief custodian of a natural (and public) resource.
