Went to pick up my sons iPad because they will be quarantined til the 30th. I was informed that that virtual learning that we did (2020) is not an option, you do not interact with a Foster Elem. teacher, do activities, or talk/see other students like we did for 2020 school year.

Independent (virtual learning) is, you’ll have to enroll your child into the Virtual Academy. Child will no longer be attending Foster Elem. Virtual Academy is about 2-3 hrs. They have it in the morning as well in the afternoon. You can do school for 2-3 straight or you can do it for 1hr/30min/1hr/30min classes and you have your breaks each time you would log on/off(schedule times vary for each grade level) If you decide that Virtual Academy is not fit for your child then you would have to Re-Enroll into CUSD but, your child may/may not be going to Foster. It All depends on the availability that they have in the school that you choose. Ex: if I Re-Enroll my child back and choose Foster Elem. And the classes for Kindergarten are filled up meaning there’s no space. He would get sent to a different Elementary where there is space available, but who knows all other Elementary are way far for me.
But for more information about that and you want to hear it for yourself call the school and inquire about Virtual Academy. And see if it’s a right fit for you and child. Weight out your Pros & Cons
