Bring Back the "Welcome To Bothell: For A Day, Or A Lifetime" Sign

The Issue

The iconic "Welcome to Bothell" sign was an important landmark that displayed the city's motto for decades.  The sign was known near and far and has been referenced in movies and literary works over the past three decades.  During the expansion of Hwy 522 at the east entrance to the city, the Washington State Department of Transportation removed and disposed of this beloved sign, much to the disappointment of Bothell citizens.

We are requesting that the city and state DOT replace the sign with a replica near the original location and add the motto to the new welcome sign on Wayne curve at the west entrance to the city.  Please help us pursue this cause by signing this petition and forwarding the petition to anyone else who would be interested in seeing history restored.
