Three wonderful ladies risked it all and invested everything they had into Levels Banquet Hall. Levels Banquet Hall host a wide variety of events such as Weddings, Corporate Events, Birthday Celebrations, Baby Showers, and beautiful brunches. Doing business with these ladies has been a delight. Their constant communication, professionalism, and understanding of what their customers needs is what every business should strive for. They have gone above and beyond to ensure their guest enjoy their event. Unfortunately, on December 9th during a private event a beautiful young man Dashaun Oquendo was shot at the establishment and later lost his life at Albany Medical Center. This tragedy has shaken the community. This incident was what these ladies tried their hardest to prevent, but it has happen and our hearts are truly broken. The local community have since taken notice and while most of the feedback has been in support of the families effected and the business, many have used this incident to tarnish the name of Levels. The local news ran stories using the owner of Blue 82 hateful comments towards these ladies in which he had never met and is working hard trying to have this establishment permanently closed. This tragedy has hurt so many people and Levels is dedicated to ensuring that this will never happen again. These ladies deserve a second chance to improve their security as many other businesses on South Pearl Street has had. Some have increased their security and even use metal detectors for guest upon entry after numerous of violent incidents. These ladies are willing to do anything to prevent any violence that may occur if given another chance. This was their first incident since their opening. I'm asking for support from the community to help them regain their liquor license and to continue to operate. In addition to signing this petition we also ask for all former guest and host to send letters detailing their experience and send it to the owners. We are thankful for everyone's continued support!
