To reconsider the design of the Roath Brook Flood Defence Scheme.

The Issue

We the undersigned are unhappy with the work taking place in the parks of Penylan as part of the Roath Brook Flood Scheme. The proposed design does not reflect the Victorian and Edwardian character of the area and we would like this addressed.

We feel that local people were poorly informed through the consultation process about the level of destruction through the removal of mature trees and the construction of a wall through the parks.

We are not against the need for flood defence works, but we would like to see a design more in keeping with the character of our neighbourhood.
