Today, 200 cases were added to the confirmed number and 6 more deaths due to the virus. We saw a lot of traction in the affiliate television station news groups on facebook. We are being silenced from the Wilmington Community NC for promoting a political or religious agenda, It is a waste of energy as every post is deleted and removed. Today there was more hate speech and ignorant of the uneducated across social media.

Events that occured today and in no particular order were:

The NCAA tournaments went to closed door with essential staff and families only. Duke, NYU, UVA, VT, JMU, W&M, UNC (including UNCW). all transition to online classes this week or next. The St Patty's Parade in Boston and in Dublin were cancelled, The Pink Ribbon Ceremony was cancelled here in Wilmington, Last night Coachella and Stagecoach was rescheduled as well for October.

We Have continued to contact and message New Hanover county, City of Wilmington, and Mayor BIll Saffo that it is time in so many words. In addition to NC being declared yesterday, today the World Health Organization has officially labeled this a global pandemic.

Our hopes are that our Governor will make the call and cancel the Azalea Festival since during a state of emergency status, it is believed that state government has jurisdiction.to override local government. Thank you all for your continued support. We captured 90 signatures today thanks to each and every one of you.
