STOP Breed Discrimination Legislation (BDL) in St. Clairsville, Ohio

The Issue

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — The city of St. Clairsville, Ohio is considering adopting an ordinance that would automatically deem pit bull terriers as vicious. We stand firmly against any form of discrimination, as do so many of our friends and supporters. Breed-discriminatory legislation (BDL) does nothing to protect people from dogs, is impossible to enforce, punishes responsible dog owners, and creates a false sense of security within a community.

We URGE you to join us in opposing this legislation by signing this petition.  The second reading of the ordinance will be held on March 6th at 7:30 pm.

We will be there to implore city council to reconsider adopting the proposed vicious dog ordinance, and instead look at enforcing the laws currently in place at both the state and local level.
