City officials still insist that Coconut Grove – like the rest of the City of Miami – should allow the largest homes, relative to lot size, of any place in Miami-Dade County. Our proposal, limiting new homes to 50% of the lot area, will help the Grove’s zoning code achieve its intent: "to protect and preserve the historic character of our single-family neighborhoods."
