Stop press! Boris Johnson has refused London City Airport’s expansion plans, saying it "does not adequately mitigate and manage its adverse noise impacts". In a letter to Newham Council, he overruled the recent approval of City Airport's planning application to expand facilities to allow for more cars and larger planes to use the airport.
