The petition created for Tony is closed.

Thanks to all who signed this petition and supported ending Tony's suffering. Unfortunately, Tony is still in solitary confinement and the County Commissioners stated Tony would stay there until the court case regarding him is resolved. This could take several more months. :(

Laws need to be created to limit the time any animal can be held in solitary confinement. Solitary confinement is ANIMAL ABUSE which should not be allowed beyond a reasonable period of time. I believe in the due process of the judicial system for humans, however no animal should have to endure long term suffering because of human selfishness. I am an animal lover, and I could NEVER allow an animal I love to endure the agony of solitary confinement, even if the only other option was euthanasia. Euthanasia is much kinder than allowing an animal to break down emotionally and physically in a "prison".

Solitary confinement is TORTURE. Tony has been tortured for 15 months and only God knows when his torture will end. My heart aches badly for Tony and all other animals in solitary confinement. If there was anything I could do to stop the suffering I would. If any of you want to advocate and do something that may be effective in ending the suffering of animal's like Tony please let me know.
