They reveal that applicants to Canada's Inland PR program face delays that are significantly greater than any other of these comparable jurisdictions. This setback should not be solely be blamed on lack of resources, as the fees to apply for Canadian Inland PR are higher than at least 2 of the other countries that were researched. Hypothetically, if an additional $2000 in fees will allow my spouse to start working 6 months sooner, even with a minimum wage job (Approximately $20,000 gross per year), that is a $8000, or a 4-to-1 ratio of return on investment. The more the spouse earns, the more pronounced this ratio becomes. Efficient processing of the Inland stream is good policy, and a sound investment in Canadian families.
