Yesterday was a pretty special day. The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens has now installed Oli’s plaque and Monday reopened the Discovery Forrest, making public for the first time “The Oliver Nicholson Memorial Sloth Habitat”!!
Alyssa, Atticus and I were invited to meet some of the people who helped make this happen including Moe and Lightning’s care team. They even let us feed him strawberries on a long bamboo stick all the way up in his tree!
I’m honestly not sure that we will fully understand how special this whole thing is for years. It’s all been such a whirlwind. We are humbled and honored that so many people have supported us through this past year. We will spend the rest of our lives trying to pay it forward.
We look forward to friends and family visiting Oliver’s special place and sharing photos with us for years to come. The Discovery Forrest is an amazing place, very peaceful and calm, just like Oliver.
