Here is a message from Start School Later National about Connecticut!
- Maribel Ibrahim, Operations Director
We invite you and your community to a Zoom talk on our Healthy Hours Connecticut statewide initiative, addressing a proven way to help our students by improving health, safety, and academic success through later school start times in the morning.
Wednesday, June 10, 2026, 7:00 PM ET
At Start School Later, our goal is to ensure schools start at times that allow for the sleep growing brains and bodies need to thrive. We are currently focusing on Connecticut to help districts and state leaders adopt these healthier schedules.
On this Zoom call, we’ll discuss:
- The science of teen sleep and the need for later school start times.
- Ways you can advocate for change in Connecticut.
- Details for our CT School Start Time Workshop in October 2026.
- How you can help: You can play a big part by sharing this invitation and our social media post with parents, neighbors, and advocates who care about student well-being.
Thank you for your leadership and for helping us spread the word about this vital effort.
Best,
Julie Totten
Development Director
