10 Day Judicial Custody

A special court remanded Kanak Mani Dixit to 10 days in custody and instructed that lawyers be allowed to see him in hospital. This is a reasonable outcome considering they were demanding 30 days. It's in fact good that he gets to spend a week in hospital to recuperate and get regular checkups. We really need to step up the campaign so that we can soon print this petition and take it to the streets and courts of Kathmandu. Pl share and post this petition as many times as you can over the next few days and weeks. The objective is not just to get him out on bail, but to make sure he is given a fair trail under the laws of the country by an independent authority.
