Nous exigeons que le gouvernement libéral reprenne la subvention salariale d'urgence du Canada (SSUC) qu’il a versée à des groupes haineux et anti-choix. (La SSUC est une aide aux employeurs qui couvre une partie des salaires pendant la pandémie). Deux groupes se démarquent du lot : le Canadian Centre for Bio‐Ethical Reform, la Canadian Association for Free Expression et le Citizens for Foreign Aid Reform. Le premier est hostile aux droits des femmes et des personnes transgenres. Il diffuse des images traumatisantes de fœtus avortés et distribue des dépliants explicites dans les foyers. Le deuxième et le troisième sont des groupes suprémacistes blancs associés au nationaliste blanc Paul Fromm. Tous ces groupes doivent être considérés comme des groupes haineux non admissibles à la SSUC.

Au total, le gouvernement a également donné une SSUC à 18 organisations politiques ou militantes anti-choix et à 34 « centres de crise en cas de grossesse » (cf. liste ci-dessous). Ces centres de crise communiquent de fausses informations sur l'avortement pour convaincre les femmes de renoncer à leur droit à interrompre leur grossesse. Au moins deux groupes anti-2SLGBTQI+ ont également reçu un financement de l'AICE : Third Day Worship Centre, qui est homophobe, et Journey Canada, qui soutient la thérapie de conversion.

Nous exigeons que tous ces groupes restituent leur SSUC parce qu'ils cherchent à priver les femmes, les personnes non conformes à leur genre et les personnes LGBTQ2S+ de leurs droits.

Par ailleurs, le gouvernement libéral doit reconsidérer les critères d'admissibilité à la SSUC pour ajouter les groupes haineux et anti-choix à la liste des employeurs non admissibles. La SSUC pourrait adopter les critères d'Emplois d'été Canada, qui excluent les candidatures des personnes qui « travaillent activement à porter atteinte ou restreindre l’accès aux femmes aux services de santé sexuelle et reproductive » ou qui prônent les discriminations.
