Quite a lot has happened since we all gave our voice to this vision to turn the old college building into an arts space for the community in Chippenham.

Whilst we are immensely disappointed that an independent planning inspector ignored the unanimous objection to the demolition of the old college building and approved the plans to turn it into a retirement complex, we can't ignore the positivity that surrounded this petition!

Hundreds of you said how much we need a place for young people to grow and express themselves, to bring a range of touring work and gigs to the town, to develop and showcase local talent, to build a safe arts space for the community.

So, we find ourselves with two choices where to direct our energy:
1 - Legal challenges against a national retirement home development mega-corporation, then find £millions to get the building back to a usable state
2 - Working alongside award-winning local architects Artel 31 who stand with us with the same vision

Let's choose the path of least resistance here, let's make this happen for Chippenham. YOU CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
