In tonight's presidential debate, Senator Cory Booker called out the appalling fact that there hasn't been a debate question about how to address child poverty since 1999:
Our voices are breaking through and changing the conversation. The candidates are joining us in our call for a question to finally be asked and answered about how we will end our child poverty crisis.
Now we need to make the news networks and the moderators pay attention. The next debate will be co-hosted by the Washington Post and MSNBC. It could mark the 150th debate in a row without a question about solving child poverty. We can't let that happen. Please retweet, repost, and share this petition with your friends.
Let's get to 50,000 signatures before the next debate to show that Americans want to hear from the candidates about how they'll lift millions of children out of poverty.
Thank you!
