I entered this competition in hopes of winning the prize money so we are able to carry out our custody battle for my stepdaughter. She has recently expressed she wants to live with my husband‘s mother or come and live with us and the United States. Child services is heavily involved with the case unfortunately because she is not 15. She is unable to decide who she wants to live with. In order to get her to the United States, my husband has to go through the court system to legally adopt his own child, even though he is on her birth certificate. We are at the mercy of her grandmother, who is raising her. The funds from this competition and the magazine feature would bring so much attention to this law and what is happening over there.
