We write this urgent update to you to ask for your support in saving the lives of countless Autistic Trans Youth.

Autistic children are 28 times more likely to think about or attempt suicide, with those statistics being further compounded for Autistic Trans children. Trans people represent a large part of the Autistic community, and so it is impossible to advocate for one without advocating for the other.

Today we delivered a statement in-person to Wes Streeting, UK Secretary of Health asking him to reverse the ban on puberty blocking medication. A life saving treatment that can pause puberty long enough for a young person to figure out their gender identity.

The statement is open online, and we are asking people to sign their name onto this statement to show the support that our government is failing to give to vulnerable young people. This ban will only serve to increase burden on an already failing mental health system, and increase harm and loss to a marginalised community.
