We have now hit 200,000 and I can't thank you enough from the bottom of my heart on behalf of our family, Damien knows you are all behind him and all the other autistic kids and teens and it means a lot to him. 

Hitting numbers this high is bittersweet. It's great that so many of you have and are supporting this petition.

It hurts because so many of you are autistic and were yourselves let down by CAMHS as kids. 

It's horrific as I've been contacted by parents who's kids took their lives due to not getting any support from CAMHS, no help because they are neurologically different. 

I see this from not only a parental perspective but from an autistic perspective. 

Our young people are being abandoned by our NHS mental health services that are meant for children and adolescents because they are like me. 

Like my son.

Because they dont care enough to keep them alive, they'd rather send a letter back to the GP's and Paediatricians that are begging for help for them saying to refer these suicidal young people to services that cannot help them.

So.....again...

Please, please email your local MP. In the first line be sure to put your name and postcode and to tell them you want Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to see autistic kids with mental health issues.

The fact they are refusing to help is unconscionable.

It's unacceptable.
