Tla’Amin has a huge issue with free running dogs. Meaning these dogs have homes and  owners who allow them to roam free in our territories. This is a problem as most of these dogs are aggressive. They approach people sometimes growling and or nipping at people,they chase vehicles as they drive by ... they apprach people walking their leashed dogs aggressively causing dog fights , I've been bitten trying to hold my leashed dogs from an aggressive dog trying to attack them. my two and three year old kids were being harassed by a free running dog, And properties and peoples possessions are being destroyed by them. Because we are self governing, the local SPCA claims no jurisdiction on the issue. 

We need Cheif and Council to draw up a bylaw regarding this issue and givethe SPCA all the jurisdiction they need for the sake of our members safety and the safety of the dogs themselves.
