Noting Chicago's landmark Uptown Theatre closed 42 years ago yesterday (1981), we asked "friends" of the Uptown to take action.

We began by asking people to contact these two, important local leaders, and to ask them the following questions.

A. What is the status of this project?
B. When will there be an in-person, public update from City leaders?
C. Will you work to extend the TIF beyond Dec. 31, 2025, to help this project?

We also asked people to sign the ongoing petition, which yielded 106 new signatures. Our running total is 14,579 signatures.
