We are petitioning for Chicago's beloved NBA franchise to expand into esports, represent, and compete in the NBA 2K League. We are also petitioning Jonny2k (Jonathan Pichler) to be the chosen hire as GM/Head Coach for the team's inaugural season.

There are currently 21 teams in the NBA 2K League. The Chicago Bulls are one of nine NBA franchises who have yet to field a team. Esports is booming and it's time for our great city to jump on board! Chicago is not only a great sports market, it has the potential to be one of the biggest esports markets. Over one million City of Chicago residents alone are playing video games daily. Please connect with the gamers of our community and sew our beloved franchise into the competitive esports arena. You will see the same pride this city has in its sports teams and the pride we have for our Chicago Bulls specifically, reflect just as sharply as we enter the esports industry. We believe Jonathan Pichler, AKA Jonny2k (@TheJonny2k on Twitter) is more than capable of streamlining all operational efforts in getting a new Chicago NBA 2K League team off the ground, while giving our city the highest probability of immediate success. Jonny was born and raised in Chicago. He is an Honorable United States Army Veteran, a business development and operations professional, a passionate sports analyst, and an esports enthusiast. He positioned himself as an analytical thought leader of the NBA 2K space as he hosted a league-centric podcast throughout the course of inaugural NBA 2k League season. Jonny would break down gameplay, make weekly predictions, and interview professionals across the league and industry. Most recently, Jonny worked as the NBA 2K Consultant for Warriors Gaming Squad, the esports team of the Golden State Warriors. He is considered to be one of the primary architects of the Warriors Gaming Squad 2019 Roster. He represented the Warriors at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the NBA 2K League Season 2 Draft on March 5, 2019, when the team selected fellow Chicagoan, Chiquita Evans, making her the first woman in history to be drafted into the NBA 2K League. The Warriors were recognized by multiple experts in the media as one of the most successful teams on draft night. Jonny knows the game meta, the ProAm landscape, and league strategy as well as anyone. This in combination with his high character standards and professional leadership experience make him our candidate for hire. Jonny currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago with his two daughters, Gracie, and Gabriella.
