Good News! Today (Friday 26th Nov) at 10am, our very own Colin Coules and Garnet Marshall have been sworn in as town councillors. I can’t tell you what positive news this is for the town and what it means to Middlewich.
During the last two months big changes have been taking place as Fight For Middlewich campaign has stepped up pressure on our council, which has now seen the following action taken by those in charge. But please, sign the petition at the very end of this post or if you see someone collecting signatures around town! We are doing so well but need more and this just goes to show that you DO have a voice! Let’s use it!

We have requested and received:-

Bus stop improvements

Identification of missing 106 monies

We sent emails twice a week to CEC to apply pressure and since we have had two public consultations sent out with regards to our complaints.

MP involvement with the petition and at the protest.

Meeting and questions scheduled at the DEC CEC meeting.

2500 signatures

Appointment of Colin and Garnet as town councillors.

Our requests put into the MTC budget

Proposed CCTV in the town , extra money for youth and the toilets.

All the street and road signs have been reported.

The underpass has been investigated.

Contact made with Cheshire west on the landfill and MP.

Investigations started on MCB. The gates painted and one set of gates sent off at cemetery.

We have gained Media coverage to raise awareness of issues.

Increased public scrutiny into planning applications.

Over 60 people responded on the swimming pool planning application and spiced national funds and asked CEC to investigate them.

Contacted British salt for improvements.

Asked MTC to ask ANSA to vote residents on yearly.
