Cherwell District Council have issued their consultation for the Cherwell Local Plan 2040 and this is available to make your comments until midnight on 3rd November 2023
We finally got to learn whether the council were supporting developers’ proposals to industrialise the rural hamlet of Nethercote and historical farmland at Huscote Farm. It was a relief, after two years since the last consultation, to learn that Cherwell District Council have rejected all proposals East of M40.
Cherwell District Council consider that they may have a shortfall of around 50 hectares of the land they think they will need for employment uses up to 2040, and they invite comments on how they should deal with this. It is also noticeable that the proposed policies for dealing with applications on unallocated sites have weakened from the existing ones
WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE! Our proposal for Nethercote to be designated as a Local Green Space has been rejected due to the area being too vast. We have therefore put together a revised proposition, proposing Banbury Lane in Nethercote to be afforded the designation. This is in keeping with the feedback and other designations locally.
