Keep Jim Bach

The Issue

Recently a group called ROAR has been calling for the heads of faculty members at Chaska High School due to some of the inappropriate acts that have gone on around the community this past year. These acts are individual incidents with little to do with the teachers and high ups of the district, specifically Jim Bach, Chaska High School’s principal. If you really know Mr. Bach you would find it outrageous that a group would be coming for his job. He is one of the most kind, caring, friendly, and inclusive faculty members and people you’ll ever interacted with. The fact that this group ROAR is silencing people trying to stand up against his dismissal shows a lack of civility and insecurity in their argument, not to mention the fact that it is cyber bullying. Attempting to have Mr. Bach dismissed is only bringing about division in our community instead of creating positive solutions to these problems. Let’s focus our efforts on how we as a whole district/community can be more respectful and inclusive rather than blaming Mr. Bach for some poor choices others made. Mr. Bach does a lot for so many students around the community and it would be a shame to lose a companionate leader like him.
