Hugo Bedau Memorial Lecture Series March 28, 3:30 pm Tufts University Braker 001: Come hear from Michael Meltsner on The Dilemmas of Excessive Sentencing. Meltsner was 1st assistant counsel to the NAACP Legal Defense fund under Thurgood Marshall in the 80s, represented Muhammad Ali in the case that removed legal barriers to Ali’s return to the boxing ring after he refused induction into the Army, among many other accomplishments. He served as Dean of Northeastern University School of Law from 1979 to 1984, where he continues to teach as a distinguished professor of law.
