Dear Supporters, Warm greetings! Your support is needed in the legislative effort outlined below. These measures will greatly benefit many folks living in Massachusetts prisons today. In addition to you contacting the Conference Committee and your own legislators, share this message across your network, to strengthen its impact. As you may know, the Conference Committee of Massachusetts representatives and senators is meeting to combine their justice reform bills into a single bill to place on Governor Baker's desk. Contact the members of the Conference Committee (listed below) - as well as your own MA state senator and MA state representative. Urge them to: 1. raise the juvenile age to 19 (this provision is in the Senate version, but was not supported in the House version) 2. support the Senate versions of Solitary reform and Medical Parole/Transfer, and insert the word "contact" into: "2 in-person contact visits per 7 days"! Members of the Conference Committee are: claire.cronin@mahouse.gov (617) 722-2396 ronald.mariano@mahouse.gov (617) 722-2300 sheila.harrington@mahouse.gov (617) 722-2305 bruce.tarr@masenate.gov (617) 722-1600 cynthia.creem@masenate.gov (617) 722-1639 william.brownsberger@masenate.gov (617) 722-1280 Call and write to the above legislators, as well as to your own state senator and state rep. Raising the juvenile age to 19 means that Arnie will no longer need to obtain commutation, since he will then be eligible for parole and will not require the governor's signature. You may find your legislators' email and telephone number at the following link: https://malegislature.gov/StateHouse/Contact Type your address in the boxes on the right side of the web page. You'll be connected to a page with your legislators in both branches. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy work days and holidays to help move the needle forward on justice. One Love, Mary King
