The Charleston County School District is proposing to build a central bus parking lot on the grounds of the new Camp Road Middle School ( formerly Fort Johnson Middle School) to house up to 36 buses.

To do so will ;

1)   Take more than half of the recreation area from the attending students including removal of the track and outdoor basketball court ; This is recess and activity area for the student body, which upon completion of construction of the new school, will be two middle schools combined

2)   Remove the home side bleacher section of the playing field

3)   Reduce sports playing fields for students and City of Charleston Recreation Dept.

4)   Increase air pollution

5)   Increase noise

6)   Increase the possibility of flooding along Yorktown Dr., Mayflower Dr. and surrounding neighborhood
