Invitation to CEO´s of Home Exchange to participate in debate

Hello all
Thank you for your support and for sharing your comments. It is both heartwarming and sad at the same time to read your reasons for signing the petition. We feel the same way. Like loosing a long time friend.
I have sent an email to the CEO´s inviting them to adress some of our concerns here on the petition site. I am sure they are receiving thousands of emails, letters and phone calls at this moment. But hey you never know...
Good evening Charles & Emmanuel
Greetings from Copenhagen.
I am writing to you because I have started a petition calling you to please end the monetization of Home Exchange. With the petition, I wish to draw your attention to the fact, that we are many home exchangers that feel concerned about the recent changes you have initiated after the merger.
But in this personal email, I will only speak for myself.
I feel like you have underestimated your new costumer base. We LOVED Home Exchange for what it was - a true and genuine part of the sharing economy where homes, houses, apartments were swapped without any monetary interference. We were all equal homeowners whether we lived in a big mansion in Bretagne or in a studio apartment in Stockholm. Introducing guest points and the possibility to buy more points from you alters the very DNA of Home Exchange. It is no longer a question of sharing (and will in many countries now be subject to taxation).
As I am sure you are aware, there has been much talk and debate on the facebook groups in the different countries and regions. I myself belong to the Scandinavian group.
Debate and dialouge is to me one of the most fundamental rights when it is kept respectful and constructive. I am surprised to learn that you are trying to silence the debate on the various foras instead of listening to your costumers. Actually it feels quite a bit like censuring when you turn off comments and remove posts.
With this email I would like to invite you to adress our concerns.
You are welcome to comment on the petition site or answer me in person.
Regards,
Helle Regine Hansen
