DC City Council vote Yes on B22-0218 and support affordable housing and job training!

The Issue

Hello, I’m Sheika Reid and I’m asking you to join me in standing up for small businesses, affordable housing and job training here in the District.

This Tuesday, December 5, the DC Council will vote on the Relieve High Unemployment Tax Incentives Act introduced by Councilmember Jack Evans, which will give incentives to businesses that hire District residents, create job training programs, make it easier to build affordable housing and provide immediate relief for so many of our hard-working neighbors across the city.

It is progressive, people-focused solutions like this that will allow us to invest in human capital, exponentially grow our workforce and answer our Mayor’s call to build 100,000 new affordable housing units over the next few years.

Let’s be clear, this legislation is about making sure that your children can afford to call themselves Washingtonians.

Let’s Send a Message to the Council, Tell them to vote yes on Bill 22-218.
