As a concerned Alderman of the 18th Ward and resident since 1995 my office has received numerous complaints over the  past year from residents who are not satisfied with the daily functions of  mail delivery and customer service  from the Ashburn station located at 3639 W. 79th St. The ongoing issues of mishandling of mail, delayed deliveries of mail , medications and packages have greatly effected the normal daily functions of our residents who strive to make their payments on time and depend on receiving their medications within a timely manner. Some residents have received shut off notices and fines for late payments on their bills.  In order for our communities to function properly in their daily lives, I ask that necessary actions be taken immediately  by the Post Master General to resolve these issues.
