Thank you for signing the open letter Chapman Community against Antisemitism.

Please forward it to your colleagues around Chapman. Although we welcome supporters anywhere, the main intention for this letter is to stake a clear claim of support for our Jewish fellow community members. The more Chapman signatories, the better.

Today, November 9, 2023, marks the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the pogrom in Germany that came to called The Night of Broken Glass, (Kristallnacht).  This should be remembered, not only as harbinger of the Holocaust, but because it was an attack by citizens on their fellow citizens, happening in a country that had prided itself on its culture of civility. We should not take that aspect of the horror lightly.
