Unfortunately, the problem hasn’t stopped. Today, yet another driver attempted to drive through a stopped school bus while the red lights were flashing, the stop arm was extended, and children were loading or unloading.

This isn’t just about Chunk anymore. This is about the safety of our children, families, pets, school bus drivers, and everyone who uses Monck Road.

We know some people believe lowering the speed limit won’t solve everything, and maybe it won’t. But increased police enforcement, better awareness, and reminding drivers that these actions are unacceptable can make a difference. If this petition helps bring attention to the issue and encourages even one driver to slow down, pay attention, and stop for a school bus, then it’s worth it.
