We, the students of Stockton University, respectfully petition for the reinstatement of the previous meal swipe policy that allowed us to purchase any food or beverage with just a meal swipe. This semester, the university implemented a change requiring students to purchase a full meal (entree, side, and drink) in order to use a meal swipe. If students do not meet these requirements, they are forced to use flex dollars or their own money to cover the food. This policy severely limits students' ability to purchase the items they want, causing students to spend more money and limiting their food choices. Additionally, Stockton University failed to notify students of this change before the semester began, preventing anyone from adjusting their meal plans and leaving students stuck with options they did not choose. We request that Stockton University restore the previous meal swipe system to provide greater flexibility, allowing students to purchase any food or beverage they wish without additional costs or restrictions.
