The Issue
The state of North Dakota needs to recognize not only political Tribal soveregnty but cultural sovereignty by including all the Indigenous North Dakota languages as Official State Languages. These include the Lakota, Dakota, Hidatsa, Mandan, Arikara, Annishinabeg and Métis languages.
