On May 17, 2021, FAA approved BUR’s NEW Expanded Terminal!
Burbank Airport's NEW Terminal Expansion is moving forward and will increase already debilitating impacts on our community! Furthermore, the FAA admits that they are building the New Terminal on an UNSAFE airfield, stating that although unsafe airfield conditions exist, they are beyond the scope of the New Terminal project. CITY OF LA MUST RESPOND We ask that the City of Los Angeles step up immediately to protect Los Angeles residents by opposing BUR's New Terminal, starting with whatever mechanism necessary to either delay or place the process on hold. In the 1980s, the City of LA brought a lawsuit opposing BUR expansion and it delayed construction for decades. LA must do that again!

Our community must let the Los Angeles City Council know that we want them to protect their residents from BUR growth by taking timely legal action as they did in the 1980s. We don't want more jets and larger jets that the New Terminal will bring! Furthermore, the unsafe airfield conditions that are NOT addressed by the New Terminal project impact Los Angeles city streets.
