I listened to this hearing today. For an hour and a half, we heard various Congresspeople direct questions to the IRS Commissioner, Chuck Rettig. For an hour and a half, we heard about various challenges at the IRS. I was shocked that no Congressperson thought to ask whether additional time is needed this filing season. I was also shocked that in all of the penalty relief discussions, we are not talking about preemptively lifting penalties for this filing season's deadline, given the state of the IRS. I will continue to make noise and I encourage each of you to do the same. Thanks for backing and sharing this petition.
