Back in 2016, I was one of the 279,499 signatures in the hand-delivered petition to release World of Warcraft Classic after the shutdown of Nostalrius. Today I am making this petition and urging all Classic fans to push for change in the game they all love and make a clear message to Blizzard about the direction the community wants the game to go in.  

Skyborne Elves are inconsistent with the lore and aesthetics of Warcraft. After years of the community pleading for Ogres, Naga and High Elves, Blizzard has delievered a tone-deaf race that is not grounded in Warcraft history.

High Elves are a pivotal part of Warcraft lore, and Forsaken Elves are also already established to some degree, with plenty of gaps in the lore that can be explored. We wish for Blizzard to flesh out existing races before creating races that have no connection to Warcraft lore.

As stated by Blizzard at Blizzcon: "Most importantly, we have room to pivot based on community feedback. We are building this game with you, and we are not just building for today, but for something that lasts. And nothing is off the table."

 This is an opportunity for Blizzard to show the community that they really mean those words.
