I’m writing this update because 2026 is the year we have been waiting for.

For months, we’ve discussed the "Spring 2026" strategy—the moment Sonic plans to go to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to fix the state-wide digging rules. If successful, this will override the local roadblocks (like the ban on 12-inch micro-trenching) that prevent Sonic from building in San Francisco.

That moment is just a few months away.

To ensure Sonic has the strongest possible backing when they present their case, we need to show that public demand is overwhelming.

Our Goal: 10,000 Signatures by Spring.

We need to show the state commission that thousands of San Franciscans are demanding this change.

Step 1: 2,000 Signatures by January 31st.

We are currently at over 1,500 signatures. Let’s set the tone for this critical year by hitting 2,000 signatures by the end of this month.
