YOU have made a huge impact!! You are one of 100,000+ supporters fighting for our animals - Thank You!!
As you know, SB 409 was passed last year which allows first responders to break into a vehicle to save an animal in distress. What they failed to include in that bill was protections for you or I, the Good Samaritan. The average police response time (in the U.S) is 18 minutes.
We have reached out to Senators Mark Manendo, Nicole Cannizzaro, David Parks; Kelvin Atkinson, Yvanna Cancela, Moises Denis, Julia Ratti, Tick Segerblom, Pat Spearman and Joyce Woodhouse encouraging them to introduce a new bill this year to protect us should we come across a situation in which an animal is in distress. If an animal is in severe danger, they don't have 18 minutes!
We're hoping we can continue to put pressure on Carson City to add an addendum to protect YOU and I (the Good Samaritan) should we need to act fast to rescue an animal!
THANK YOU again for signing and your support. Please continue to share with your family and friends. We have also reached out directly to the US Humane Society to help us put pressure on law makers! If you know of any groups, please share with them as well.
Together - We CAN change state law!
Eternally Grateful,
