Hello All, 

As you may have seen in the news, the young defendant was sentenced to one year in custody and one year probation for the Manslaughter of my father Jerald Netto. 

The defence had proposed a Youth Rehabilitation order as opposed to a custodial sentence which is appalling for taking a persons life. 

One year is unduly lenient for crimes of this nature. The incident was minimised throughout the criminal proceedings. 

 We have made the decision to release the CCTV footage of the attack. The CCTV is available on the BBC, MET police website and YouTube, it may be uploaded onto other sites in due course. This content is distressing to watch, but it is significant to highlight the injustice we have been facedy with and how the incident has been downplayed previously in court and in the media. 

The laws need to be reformed urgently to deter youth offenders and to change the approach to crimes of this nature.
