Petition updateChange Canadian Adult Missing Persons Police ProtocolMissing persons protocol needs to change

As the news of Bruce McArthur fades, families are still steeped in grief and anger. My brother vanished 4/26/13 from downtown Toronto during Project Houston. It was critical that police take a missing persons report. Our family should have been told that men were going missing in the city. There’s protocol for missing kids and there’s even protocol for missing cars ... a lost cat gets more attention. When an adult goes missing in Canada there is no protocol. Officers tell families that the missing are adults and have the right to vacate their lives. I’m not asking for a manhunt, but I am asking for change. Make it mandatory to record ALL missing adults and add them to the RCMP missing persons database. Thank you to everyone who has signed our petition. At the very least we are creating awareness that this is happening right now in Canada. May this be the good that surfaces from the Bruce McArthur cases.
