Today, the Government announced details of how £30 million will be made available to provide more Changing Places toilet facilities in England. Local authorities will soon be invited to "opt in" to receive a proportion of the funding. This, coupled with the change in building regulations to make Changing Places mandatory in larger public buildings in England, will mean an increased provision of such facilities, and greater freedom and dignity for the disabled people that need them.
