This past Monday, Black at App State held a peaceful protest against Sherri Everts. Her lack of action towards the demands of our Black student activists speaks louder than any empty claims of inclusion and diversity that she or the administration provides. The only action that was taken? Threatening to arrest these students for their vital acts of advocacy. This cannot continue.
It is important that Sherri Everts wakes up to the reality that her students are demanding real institutional change. I am asking you, as someone who signed this petition, to also sign and share the petition attached that has been put forward by Black at App State.
